Microphysical optical observer
Microphysical Optical Observer is a "one-stop" microscale observation system for atmospheric physics, cloud precipitation research, and optical remote sensing calibration. It captures the microscopic optical properties (scattering, absorption, polarization, particle size spectrum) of cloud droplets and aerosol particles in real-time in the laboratory or field through multimodal fusion of high sensitivity, low-temperature superconductivity, and organic optoelectronic devices, providing a true value benchmark for numerical models, satellite inversion, and climate models. By cross referencing with superconducting detectors, satellite sensors can be calibrated for in orbit radiation. Typical application scenarios: verifying ice nucleation activity and supercooled water stability. Synchronize with Ka/Ku band radar and establish a "radar optical" joint inversion algorithm.
